Il a &eacute;t&eacute; arbitre international de la FIH pendant 15 ans &ndash; participant &agrave; trois Jeux panam&eacute;ricains, deux Jeux duCommonwealth et deux Championnats du monde junior &ndash; au total, 89 matches internationaux.<\/p>\n<p>Pour Wilson, &ecirc;tre arbitre, c&rsquo;est une affaire de famille. Son p&egrave;re et sa m&egrave;re, sa s&oelig;ur Jennifer et son partenaire Denisont aussi &eacute;t&eacute; arbitres. Sa m&egrave;re a &eacute;t&eacute; la premi&egrave;re femme &agrave; obtenir un pouvoir d&eacute;cisionnel au Canada tant chez leshommes que les femmes, alors que ces programmes &eacute;taient encore s&eacute;par&eacute;s. Chris a commenc&eacute; sa propre carri&egrave;red&rsquo;arbitre local &agrave; Victoria (CB) &ndash; puis il s&rsquo;est rendu sur la terre ferme pour arbitrer les matches de ligue &agrave; Vancouver. Ila poursuivi sa carri&egrave;re jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; devenir arbitre international par excellence de la FIH en 1996.<\/p>\n<p>La contribution de Wilson au hockey sur gazon d&eacute;passe nettement son r&ocirc;le d&rsquo;arbitre. Il a aussi &eacute;t&eacute; membre duconseil d&rsquo;administration et entra&icirc;neur des &eacute;quipes de ses fils dans la Victoria Junior Field Hockey Association;pr&eacute;sident de la Vancouver Island Field Hockey Association; entra&icirc;neur de plusieurs &eacute;quipe de la Vancouver IslandLadies Field Hockey Association; mentor de dizaines d&rsquo;arbitres, dont plusieurs travaillent aujourd&rsquo;hui &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;chellenationale et internationale.
